Original dueco finish was stripped to metal long ago. Steel body with straight cut f-holes sloped shoulders and contoured back. Round mahogany neck with 12 frets to the body and flat ebony fingerboard. This is a killer player guitar and it is calling your name!!! Vintage 1931 National Duolian resonator acoustic guitar Serial C935 in good working order. The frets are still in fantastic shape and this is possibly a refret but I am not sure if it is or not. This does have all original parts and this still has original working tuners!!! The guitar has a haunting sound like you would expect out of a vintage resonator guitar and is set up for easy playing. This has a lot of wear and some oxidation in the metal. Blind Boy Fuller is likely the most well known 14 fret Duolian player, and Brownie McGhee, Son House, and Blind Arvella Grey are also associated with this model. ![]() It was the least expensive guitar made by National upon its introduction and its combination of big volume, robust build, and low price made them attractive to street musicians all over North America. Originally built between 1930 and the onset of WWII, the Duolian was favoured by many of the blues players of the day. With its crystalline Dueco finish, steel body and aggressive bluesy tone, the National Duolian is one of the most iconic vintage resonator guitar models.
